Edelbrock adjustment ?????????

my poor pig came with a Edelbrock pumper carb
it also has opened intake and a BigGun System
which seems to kick the carb off balance

it boggs bad when coasting or at steady minimal throttle
stock settings are 18 for the needle and 1,5 for the pump
for whatever reason it came with 12 and 1
at stock settings off idle throttle response is much better and the bogging not as severe
but still far from good

I am lost
this dumb carb does puzzle me a lot
