Fuel Line

Anyone know where to find a pre-formed fuel line like this one?

then you might try a larger non-corporate auto parts store. Or look for an online store. I recently had to buy some bolts online because I couldn't find them anywhere locally.

Yo BB...I had a little time this morning for an experiment. Somehow I picked up a flu bug yesterday and have been in bed since 4pm yesterday. I got up and saw your post and did some research.

Add water in a small sauce pan
Bring water to boil
Add one rubber hose cut to length of your choice
Boil for 10 minutes on high
Season to taste
Remove hose with tongs and immediately jab some forks in each end as to avoid burning yourself
Hold desired bends (it's a good idea to over exaggerate the shape)
Allow rubber to cool or speed up the cooling process by running under cold water

Thanks for the tips, that should work great, it just needs enough of a bend in it so it won't kink up when warm.

BTW - Beautiful presentation....even without the garnish of a fresh sprig of parsley.

Let us know if the bend lasts or the rubber has memory.

I was thinking that any piece of fuel line that ID would work. So perhaps you could find one with a bend somewhere in it and cut your piece, with the corner, out of the larger piece.

It's been 4 hours and it's still holding the bends. If it's mounted right away I have a hard time thinking it will loose it's new shape.

I did something similar with a VW bus panel. I made a new panel but it had to have a slight curve to fit in the back corner. I boiled water and steamed the hardwood until it would bend. I ran down to the garage and installed it right away. A few months later I had to remove the panel to get to something else and I was pleased to see the panel held is new shape just like the factory panel.

They still sell them at the dealers.
