What size nut is used 4 fork compression/rebound shim stack?

Post  AURORA on Wed Feb 25, 2009 9:27 pm

What size nut is required for the XRR front fork compression and rebound valve stacks? I have to remove/file/grind the old nuts to reshim the stacks for a more aggressive and plush ride.

Thus I am looking for the size to replace the filed down nuts.

Anyone?

Afternoon all, AURORA I just measured the nut it's a 12mm x 5mm standard nut, you should be able to use a triangle file the stake dents a bit and the nut should undo i did mine no probs just remember to tighten to the correct touque that is in "INCH POUNDS" not foot pounds check Bruce's web site for the info

To late, but thank you.

Front forks compression and rebound nuts are 8 x 1.0 mm 25 to 30 inch lbs.

Rear shock compression and rebound nut is 12 x1.5 mm 25 to 30 foot lbs.
