XR650R Help, countershaft end float
Last weekend on a OBT ride here in Australia I noticed that my XR650R had what I felt was way too much countershaft end float, I was lubing the chain after day one and felt it and went OMG!! Everyone looked at it and opinion was it was between 1mm and 6mm end float. I loaded the bike on the support vehicle and trailered it home, I have spoken with all the experts here in Aus and they said they run up wards to 3.5mm end float. I have measured mine with a dial indicator and it has 1.59mm, it looks way worse than that, as America is the land on the King 650's I was wondering could somebody or a couple of guys with access to a dial indicator please measure theirs by pushing the shaft in zero the gauge and pull the shaft out and take a reading as there is no spec, I was wondering what the average is Cheers Guys

I don't know what mine measures, but it also has a lot of end play and it's an 07 with 1500 miles on it. It seems to be normal...
