wear your gear
Hopped on the 950 the other evening just to warm it up and run some fuel through it. It had been sitting for several weeks. Of course all I have on are shorts and sandals. Still not sure what happened and ended up going down at 35 mph or so. Good thing I had a full faced helmet on. Left side of body is road rash from toes to fingers with the exception of where my shorts and t shirt covered. Had I had my boots and gear on probably would have walked away with a few bruises and scrapes. Spent 3 hours in the ER and have missed 4 days of work so far.

Re: wear your gear
Tough lesson to learn, I often see riders with little gear on specially in warm weather. I simply don't ride if it's too hot, same with the ZX12R always wear full gear or I don't ride.
Hope you mend soon and the bikes fixable

Gear
Dude, sorry about your mishap.....hope you heal up well and soon. I have a habit of jumping on my bike for the same reason, just to go around the block a few times to get the oil and gas moving. Same deal with me, just a helmet and no other gear. Wont be doing that any more!

Bummer - speedy recovery - but unfortunately thats how it works - ya gotta hurt yourself a few times to gain respect for it - I wouldn,t ride 10 metres without it
