Здравствуйте Lawyer,

Got your bike doctored? Last I heard it was in intensive case, and was wondering if you found it a good nurse clown

Edit: OK, I only now see it's you who's asking - post a picture of that nurse please LOL.
Your best bet is "too large" and work down from that. I've read about someone having a 200 mounted, and this sounds awfully big - but he said he's happy. Best is to dyno the bike (with very good cooling hmm?), otherwise do some plugchops when WO.
Mind though, with htat big kit I'd rather have 'too big' than too small, but I hunch you alread know that Cool

I assembled the motor, everything works fine. Mileage currently 4000 km

Good to hear! Mind to stay away from that extra 1000-rev ceiling you have due to that ignition module hmm, I'm sure you don't want a repeat. Best is to install a Trailtech Vapor and set the alarms (Led's) accordingly.
Post a piccie please?

A 'jet' with a 2mm hole is hardly a measuring device anymore - I wonder if you not should change to a Mikuni TM40? Plenty of needles & needle-jets available for it too, and the jet-size would be (my guesstimate) around 180.

Main fuel Jet 185-190 ?

Did you have the crankshaft balanced?
Do you have the HRC cam timing chain and tensioner?
1 to 3mm over sized valves?
I am surprised that your not running a stage 2 cam with proper valve reliefs to take advantage of the compression.

You will probably have to switch to a larger bore carburetor TM40, FCR41(a pain to install...must grind on engine and reshape fuel tank to fit) or a bored out to 40mm X 42mm venturiEledlbrock quicksilver pumper carb

You need a pumper carb for a street bike!

Stock carb, the 185 or 190 is what I would recommend.

You need to install the 190 or larger (better to be rich than lean). Install a new sparkplug. Start bike (avoid idling) complete a full throttle high speed run in the last gear. With engine at high speed, engage the kill switch while pulling in the clutch lever. Hold in both kill switch and clutch lever until you com to a stop. Remove the sparkplug. Inspect where the insulator touches the shell of the sparkplug. To perform the inspection you will need either a sparkplug inspection flashlight, this is a fancy flashlight with a magnifying lens, or carefully cut the threads and part of the metal base off of the sparkplug.

What you and all of us want to see (please post pictures) is the carbon ring around the ground/base of the sparkplug insulator.

The stage 2 cam makes more efficient use of the higher compression ratio vs the Stage 1 cam.

Piston valve relief cut. Cuts is the piston dome which ensure the valves do not strike the piston...I assume you know this and was asking about the cam.

Does your sparkplug have a carbon ring such as the one pictured below?

Just to be sure, I am talking about the 1 mm carbon ring at the base of the insulator cone(pictured above). Not talking about the color of the insulator cone.

you need a fcr41 @ to take full advance of the 680 kit, even better let it keyhole bore to 42 a 43mm.Add a XR400 CDI and a stage 2. And then ... I liked the engine with the stock bore and the HRC piston better than the 102.4mm.

carbie update

Post  temporary kiwi on Mon Aug 12, 2013 12:30 am

so which carb did you fit, the std carb can flow more air by removing its choke, might make for hard starting in the cold though, ive used a couple of flat slides, a rs38mm mikuni[no advantage over stock] a fcr40mx, substantial gain over stock, which i had to mod fuel tank to fit[ ended up replacing due to leaks]now have modded fcr43.5mm to l/hand cable op, + a clarke 16l tank, still awaitng trials with this due to injury rcovery, i had just installed a 102mm piston + a motard grind cam with the xr400 ign, it does vibe more than the previous 100mm 12.5:1 ross piston, but should work my ov/size valves better on the 43mm carb
