Hi guys,
Just brought a 2001 XR650R with 9,600 kms on the clock. I got this off the original owner and the bike is stock standard, original every thing! Only work that has been done is the Honda power tip and jetting. Looking forward to doing it up from front to back. Already had to drill out the r/h chain adjustment bolt and use a helicoil. Also replaced the r/h foot peg bolts with new HT ones, just used a small spacer for where the allen bolt was to enable the use of a normal bolt.
Anyways, thanks for a great forum guys.
Gus.

Went for a ride down Nowra last week. Yalwal, Danjera Dam, Coolendell...great place.
Have done a few things to the old girl
Had the suspension set up for my weight (110kg)
Renthal Button bend bars plus a 1 inch riser
IMS super stock pegs
Pirelli MT21 F & R
T4 Procircuit Pipe
Rejet the carb and removed the choke
18 litre tank
Side cover air box mod
Also bought a Giant Loop Fandango tank bag plus their Great Basin rear bag....great soft luggage
Really enjoy its reliabilty. We should meet up at Alice one day
