How many disks for SuperTrap

I just picked up a 2005 XR650R that came with a SuperTrap tuneable exhaust. The exhaust is currently running 12 disks. Before I tackle the carburetor I want to determine how many disks I should be running?

The bike currently bogs when I wack the throttle and pops when I decelerate. I realize that I may need to do some rejetting but just want to find out how many disks others are running, if anyone else is running the SuperTrap.

I don't have a supertrapp. I have a uncorked 2007 BRP and I picked up a used white bros. E2. It came with 14 disc. I tried it like that but it wasn't as good as my stocker w/mod. tip. Playing around with it, subtract some, add some. It's seems to like 8 or 9. I was surprised how much scavaging those disc do. The jetting is very close to an uncorked stock muffler. May need to fatten up a bit with the mixture screw. But I like disc style pipes. Have fun.
