Hi everyone. I just got a 01 BRP last week. I have been riding a 07 650L for the last year. My problem is the rear suspension is really soft. It drops a good 3 to 4 inches with me on it and I am only 170 lbs. My L only goes down like a inch. Am I screwed? Need some input. Thanks.

I could really use some help here. I am trying to replace my brake pads. I bought some new ones on ebay but they wont fit in the caliper because the caliper piston won't compress far enough for the pads to get in. Has anybody had this problem? Is there some sort of trick to getting the caliper to compress, like draining the brake fluid? I already tried bleeding the fluid and using a clamp to apply more pressure to the piston.

It is possible that the pads I bought on ebay are just too thick, ...

I've looked up symptoms to find if my bike is running lean or rich. It runs like a turd and I want to get this sorted out. Some signs point either way. Here's the facts:

-When I whack the throttle at idle it will want to die unless I back off

-Starts great when I give it gas and kick. One kick usually when it's cold.

-Need choke on a cold start even though it's (90+ degrees) hot out (not sure if that's normal). And some other times when the bike's warm.

-Will idle high after it's warm unless ...

Recently, after running a couple hours late on a dual sport ride, I noticed the stock headlight on my '02 XR650R kinda sucks! The state sez the point of a headlight is to be seen by other drivers, but I hate it when the path in front of me is not clearly illuminated.

Any suggestions on a headlight upgrade for casual night riding? I'm not talkin' ripping through the dark, desert terrain, here. Just a good light to get me home in the darkness, when needed.
