Hey guys,

I am after a new project bike and am looking for a basket case XR650R. Do not care if it is a million pieces and requires a full rebuild. I am really only after a legitimate frame and engine to use as a base. I wish to use a CRF front end and I already have a full supermoto set-up from my CRF450. The rest I can take care of or have already.

I don't wish to spend much as I have seen complete bikes with no rego sell for 2 grand in the last few weeks. I am sure that there are plenty ...

Hey guys!

I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Ash. Its been a while since I've owned an XR650R but am keen to get another. I bought a brand new one in 2001 when I was working in a Honda dealer. I owned it for two weeks and did 796km's before being hit head on by a car whilst riding home from work. My poor bike snapped in two and the back half melted to the ground. I have kept the front half as a memento to surviving such a crash.

Anyway, I've just moved out to a fairly rural location ...

I'm raising the bars a lot. Motion pro sells cables 3" longer than stock, but I can't find anyone who makes clutch and decomp cables 3" longer as well. Anyone have this problem? Is there another bike's parts that fit?

Well...I know that mainstand on XRR is not meant for everyone...so there will be mixed feelings from riders...

This was done just hours ago...and it still needs some adjustments...will let you know on some infos if keen...

Hey guys I recently bought a 2000 XRR that was a bit rough around the edges but I got a killer deal on it so why not. The guy I bought it from didnt know much about the bikes history because he got the bike as payment for a job an sold it cus he needed money. But I seem to be having an issue with the idle, the fire ups perfectly and idles how it should. But after the bike warms up the idle goes up a noticeable amount. I adjust the idle down and after a little bit it goes back up again.??The ...

I have been storing the BRP in my Toy Hauler for the last few months. Yesterday I went out there to take a quick look at everything and found a puddle of fuel under the bike.

I haven't had time to check anything yet but I'd like some advice on where to start.

What I know:

Fuel pet-cock was off

It's an 07 with VERY low riding time

Nearly no miles since it was uncorked

It seems like quite a bit of fuel...might be just the float bowl volume, but...

What do you guys think?

When I went to start her, I have weak compression. I can kick thru the entire compression stroke without using the decomp lever. Any Ideas?? I cant figure out what could have changed.

Hi Y'all! Just got another street legal XR in CA. I really missed my old one. It was set up perfectly for me, with FMFQ2 quiet pipe, massive gas tank, bar risers, Pro-moto billet rack, etc. This one I just bought has a baja kit, and the stock tailpipe was cored out. She's way too loud for me. The right radiator is crunched in a couple inches but still working. I'll need one of those too. In short, this bike is bone stock except for the baja kit lights & modified pipe. If you have anything ...

The price was good and it saved alot of room. Best of all you can buy whatever tips you need to customize it to your needs. The bits are stored in the handle, 6 at a time. You can buy hex metric or hex standard bits also.
